
Bio
Born in 2004 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Anh Van Nguyen, also known as Amy, is a studio artist specializing in comics, drawing, and illustration. She has also taken an interest in experiencing and exploring the curatorial and administrative work within the arts. Amy currently operates in Granville, Ohio. She attended Denison University in Granville and studied various studio disciplines, including drawing, printmaking, and sculpture. Amy has showcased their work in various group exhibitions. Notable appearances include “Inverted Normals” at Mulberry House in Granville, Ohio, a two-person exhibition titled “Legends & Folktales Thru Comics” at Bryant’s gallery, and participation in “Out with the New, In with the Old” exhibition at Bryant Gallery, Granville. Amy’s artistic endeavors have been recognised by the Mary G. and G. Harold Osborne Endowed Scholarship from Denison University. Additionally, they spent the summer working as an exhibition intern at the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum. Amy is currently developing works for her upcoming BFA thesis and solo exhibition titled “Fantastical Fright in Life,” which will feature many ink hand-drawn short horror comics at Mulberry House, Granville, from April 16 to 23, 2026.
